The Story
Mark has been in the construction industry for over 30 years, mainly drawing steel shops for fab shops all across the country; everything from homes to skyscrapers. He worked in landscaping between the ages of 12 and 19, before moving into construction for gun safe interior panels for 3 years. When a chance to learn drawing for steel buildings came along, Mark jumped at the chance and pivoted towards that as a skillset. With the company’s decision to move from hand drawing to AutoCAD, He took upon himself the opportunity to learn and embrace new types of programs. In a similar fashion, Mark has continued to learn new skills including flat concrete work, excavation, welding, plowing snow, and wood working – he continues to look for ways to push his knowledge base with the belief that any individual can achieve what they desire.
Dr. Gill’s is a new small business that got started in 2018 when a neighbor needed a front porch railing. After installing that first rail, several other neighbors reached out with similar needs for railing and there, the business was started. We’ve grown from 1-2 rails a year to now fabricating a multitude of projects in-house. We wish to thank all our customers for giving a small business like ours a chance to grow.
Marks number one goal is customer satisfaction and will work hard on every project Dr. Gilll’s is involved with. One of our most popular designs was created by one of the neighbors who sent a picture with the simple question: “can you build this?” 3 years later and to this day, we custom build each rail to your liking.
